Hi, my name is Carolyn Oppenheim and I'm running on Row A for the ER9 Board of Education. I have three children, one recently graduated and two still in the high school. I have the distinction, I believe, of being the parent that's gone to the most Board of Ed meetings in the last 12 years: 12 budget cycles in 12 years. I've been through four superintendents, and I believe I have learned something from every single one of them about the board process. Technology and innovation and communication are the high school ABCs. I believe we need to give our teachers and our students what they need in order to maintain the excellence that we deserve at Barlow.
Carolyn Oppenheim has lived in Easton since 2009 and is the Catering Manager at The Pantry in Fairfield. She previously worked with the Weston Volunteer Fire Department through the COVID-19 pandemic, managing administrative and operational support. Carolyn has also held leadership roles at New Academy Preschool, serving as President, Treasurer, and Board Member, and has a professional background in hospitality and event planning. A graduate of Dickinson College with a degree in Theatre and English, she remains active in community and education advocacy.
